quick update

i'm exhausted but figured i'd better update.

i went to my ultrasound this morning. the baby is too big so the tech couldn't see my placenta so she had to do the internal ultrasound with this ginormous wand thing. i think i was going to give birth right there on the table, it hurt so bad. a few hours after the ultrasound, i went to the OB and she gave me the great news that the placenta has moved more than enough and we don't need to worry about scheduling a c-section! however, they looked at the cyst again and it has gotton bigger since it was first found back in october. it was 5cm and now it is 8cm. after i have the baby, i'll go back in for another ultrasound to see how big and where it is so it can be removed. i was pretty adament about getting it out of there as soon as we can. i just don't like the idea of knowing that's in my body. i'm dialated at 1.5cm. my blood pressure was also high. it was high last week and even higher this week. my doctor wanted me to go to labor and delivery at the hospital to get monitored for a little while. i told her i had a massage appointment right after my appointment with her. she gave me the okay to go to that and then head over to labor and delivery. i called jarratt to tell him to get off work a little early. after my massage, we went over to the hospital and got monitored for an hour or so. my blood pressure was back to normal, baby's heartrate was fine, they took blood and rushed the results but i haven't gotton a call so i'm assuming everything is okay. i had a few pretty hard contractions while hooked up to the monitors but nothing consistant (damn!) they let me go with instructions to call my doctor if i had any dizziness, blurry vision, spots in my vision, or sudden swelling in any part of my body. i really think my blood pressure was way up because i get really nervous about the exam to see if i'm dialated. it really hurts and i dread it. i really feel like they should take my blood pressure after that exam as well instead of making me go to the hospital.

anyways, that's that. i've told the baby that she either needs to come between now and tuesday (or even wednesday, as long as there are no complications) or just wait until next week. my dad's 50th birthday party is this weekend and i'd really like to be able to attend it!
