13 months

mischa's first birthday came and went. she's is turning into a toddler. shortly after christmas, she started walking and never stopped! she's currently learning to climb. oh boy! can i get a mini helmet for this kid?

her teeth started coming in like crazy in the past couple of months. she has 16! just a few months ago, she had 4! the molars are coming in now, making her drool like she did when she was just a few months old.

since turning one and the eruption of all her teeth, she's been eating tons. she'll eat anything you put in front of her. strawberries and cheese are a favorite right now. we're also weening her off the bottle. whenever i get the chance, i give her a sippy cup of milk (oh yeah, we're done with formula and onto whole milk now!) and as long as that satifies her milk craving, i don't even think about a bottle. this evening, i realized she hadn't had a bottle all day! i tried putting her to bed without one but she threw a fit that i was handing her a sippy cup and cried until i got a bottle. fine by me though, one bottle a day, i can do that.

dancing is still a favorite. a lot of her toys sing little tunes and she dances every chance she gets. she sometimes even dances when there is no music! must have daddy's inner rhythym. always a tune in her head.

in other news, we are moving out of our house in a month. this saddens me deeply but it must be done. we bought a house in des moines. well, we close on the 7th. we're going to do a remodel on the kitchen before moving in (plus painting the house and trying to fence the yard if we can too.) the whole process of buying a house, packing, moving and unpacking sucks a lot. but it's 100 times harder with a tiny person trying to "help" you along the way.

i always promise to update here more so here's another promise. however, don't hold your breath.
